About
Rationale:
The purpose of the website Second Language Learning Issues in Online Learning Environments is to investigate and introduce the research focusing on alternative or foreign language learning issues that students and educators may encounter as they conduct lessons through the Internet. These participants include grade 6 French-as-a-second-language students and teachers in Atlantic Canada, undergraduate Japanese-as-a-foreign-language students in Eastern United States, as well as undergraduate and English-as-a-second-language students and teachers from across the globe.
The site Second Language Learning Issues in Online Learning Environments has also examined this theme of alternative language learning as highlighted in the ten studies presented (Literary Analysis), created visual representations of this analysis (Theme Resources), and uploaded a slidecast onto YouTube.
This site has been developed as a requirement for the D2L course ED6610 "Research on Computers in the Curriculum," as partial fulfillment of the Master of Education - Information Technology, from Memorial University in St. John's, NL, Canada.
